Turn your Family Holiday into a Family Photoshoot
“ Dealing with Lizzy Morris Photography was really easy, we contacted her explained what we required and without fuss we were given a number of options to choose from that suited our needs. On the Day Lizzy turned up, mingled with the family and took some fantastic photographs, which we will cherish forever. It was an absolute dream and the photos were excellent, with the price being really reasonable. We would recommend this photographer, excellent value. Thank you Lizzy ”
Christine and her brilliant and amazing family were planning a holiday get together. During lockdown, their family grew but due to restrictions and their living far apart from each other, this family organised a family get away trip to allow themselves to spend to spend some quality time together. They decided to book, The Georgian Coach House in the idyllic Wiltshire countryside. This sounds like a beautiful idea to me and they also had the wonderful idea to arrange a photographer to document their experience. Thankfully, they found me on google!
A large family photoshoot can be challenging, especially when little ones aren’t known for their patience. But I am always up for the challenge! I may have been an only child for the first 18 years of my life, but my Nanny and Grandad had 5 kids together and their kids all ran off and had at least 3 kids. I feel very privileged to consider myself to be a part of a large family and I love seeing the strong bonds between other families.
Sessions with me are really chilled and you and the children won’t feel like you are under the spot light. I tend to capture the children first, while having a photographer around is new and exciting but if they aren’t ready yet, than we can take our time. I might take smaller groups off to get some mini family photos but soon our groups will get bigger and bigger until we have a chance for a big family photograph. Once we have those main photos, I don’t plan to run away! We then have a chance to get a variety of photos, such as the older brothers or maybe all the ladies of the family.
My style is very natural, it might feel normal to look at a camera and smile but I don’t think it’s natural. So, most of the time, I'll be asking you all to look at your loved ones. I might say things like, “Look at the biggest trouble maker" or “Look at the funniest person”. I think this really helps to relax you all.
If this is an experience you are interested in, please get in touch and we can talk about my packages.
